About Rev. Bozek
Short Introduction
Reverend Marek Bozek, originally from Poland, received his theological education in Warsaw, Poland, and the United States, where he attended St. Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology in southern Indiana. His postgraduate studies took him to Jerusalem, Israel and Utrecht, the Netherlands.
While in St. Louis, Missouri, he gained recognition for his advocacy for justice, which eventually led him to leave the Roman Catholic Church. Following that departure, he served the independent and inclusive Polish church in St. Louis for 17 years.
In 2023, Rev. Bozek decided to relocate to Central Texas to work as a hospice chaplain. As of July 1, 2024, he also took on the part-time role as the transitional pastor at Hope United after attending Hope United as his own church for several months. His services are designed to be relaxed, thought-provoking, and spiritually enriching, often challenging traditional perspectives. He aims to keep the congregation engaged by providing meaningful insights and practical applications for their daily lives each week.
Rev. Bozek is dedicated to the Open and Affirming identity, welcoming individuals of all ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, political beliefs, and stages of their faith journey. Marek enjoys teaching, preaching, traveling the world, and caring for his cat, Louis.
